A busy summer of school work ahead


St Helena School, Colchester – upgrades over the summer

The school holidays may mean time off for pupils and teachers, but for Horizon it means a busy summer of work on various school building and refurbishment projects as part of fast track procurement work during the six-week closure.

In Essex, Horizon will be working at St Helena School in Colchester on upgrading the changing rooms. The work follows a previous a new build extension comprising classrooms. a domestic science block, plus ancillary welfare and office facilities.

Construction Director Matt Bynoe said: “It’s always good to get repeat work from a customer as it demonstrates their satisfaction with previous projects.”

Horizon will also be in Kent over the summer at the Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School in Kent, working with architects Ingleton Wood on various upgrades to the school building. “We’re delighted to be working with Ingleton Wood again,” said Horizon Managing Director Phil Holding.
